About this Site
The Forteau Bay Webcam is owned and operated by me, Douglas Robbins. I'm a resident of English Point, a community on the shore of Forteau Bay. The camera is situated in a window in my home. English Point has a population of exactly 100 people (I know that for a fact as my daughter recently counted them).

This website is the culmination of more than seven years of work, since my first webcam image appeared in February of 2001. There have been many changes and improvements over the years and there's more to come (though I'm not telling what's planned).

It's fun experimenting with the technology, but the biggest kick is hearing from viewers. So whether you're a lost Labradorian pining for the salty breeze off the bay, or someone in a faraway place who's never been to Labrador, I welcome your comments. Enjoy!

What a great day...if I was home I'd go for a boat ride!

Very neat as it shows the bay ice going out yesterday. Not the way it use to be. The ice usually stayed in all winter.
This past July 6 of us visited your section of Labrador and enjoyed a picnic and scenic long walk along the straights shore in Forteau. We really had fun and the hospitality and wonderful hiking trails in all the villages from L'Anse au Clair to Mary's Harbour could not have been better.
A BIG Thank you to Truman and Terry on their help...we certaintly appreciate you both taking the time to contact us....
